Take ACTION now to tell your Representatives to support the re-introduction of this Bill

This Action is to get Bill H.R.9037 – KIDS Health Act of 2022 re-introduced into the 118th session. 

All Bills from the 117th session that were not made into a law are ‘dead’. Including this Bill that, had it passed… participating States will design and implement a whole child health model in one or more targeted communities and be called Whole Child Health Demonstration Project. Only 15 grants will be awarded.

Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester who sponsors this Bill may need to make some adjustments to fit the new 118th Congress and of course it will get a new number. WHOLE CHILD HEALTH SERVICES.—The term ‘whole child health services’ means the following:

1. Comprehensive care management.

2. Enhanced care coordination services and referrals to health, developmental and social supports that include strategies to—

     a. identify and address the physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral health, developmental, relational and social needs of eligible individuals;

     b. coordinate referrals, as needed, to health care, mental, emotional, and behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, child development, and social service providers;

     c. ensure that eligible individuals follow up with service providers to whom they are referred; and

     d. facilitate the ability of eligible individuals to access needed services by centralizing, coordinating with, or co-locating resources.

It will be up to the States that are awarded this grant to design their whole child health model based on the Bills guidelines. By implementing Section 2706 of the Affordable Care Act and including Integrative Medicine to be a part of the States design will ultimately build a well rounded Integrative whole health system for everyone!
